Instead of returning to a new line, bash starts to overwrite the beginning of the current line and then weird things ensue. Is there something wrong that I can fix?

My pologies for this error, but it’s very strange. Could you please let us know in which environment you are working? Is it the Academy or ROSDS? Also, check the following:
- Could you try again? It could be a temporary error.
- Please check that you are using one of our supported browsers: Chrome or Firefox. Other browsers could work, but they might not work properly.
- If the error persists, could you please send us a screencast of the problem?
