What is the unit of 1.18 in pose_target.position.z = 1.18?

I am aware that group_variable_values[5] = -1.5 where -1.5 is in radians but i am not sure what is the unit of 1.18 used to give end effect or pose commands in moveit

the units in gazebo are in meters. The grid you see on the floor is 1x1m, so you can get a feel for it
