In webshell #1, I typed in ctrl + D and executed not knowing exactly what would happen. It exited the webshell and I am unsure as to how to reopen that webshell.

Use the refresh button on the simulation screen to restart the simulation and the websheel:

Hi, I have run into some problems and need to restart the webshells. The reload button the image above seems to have been changed to only reload the simulation. How can I restart the webshells now?

Yes, we changed the button that reloads the simulation because some users might just wish to reload the simulation and keep the web shell intact.
You can “force-reload” the shells by changing to another unit with a different simulation and then switch back to the current unit.
