Unable to visualize the Odometry data through RViz


Hi there,
In Chapter 2, when I run Rviz, then load the GUI, the ‘odom’ frame under TF is not shown, thus I cannot add an Odometry display. Is there any solution to this problem? Thank you for your time.

This depends on the orbot. If it doesnt publish the odometry nohing an be done. Normally in tehse robots the differential drive plugin in gazebo publishes the odom frame and odometry.

By default, this doesn’t robot doesn’t publish the Odometry data. You have to complete Exercise 2.3 in order to publish the Odometry.
