Tax ID asked during account upgrade

Hi,

I want to upgrade my account to take a monthly subscription. But while registering for it I am being asked for my TAX ID number. How is this information relevant for the subscription?

Thank you for asking.

For people based in the EU, this information is required by the tax authorities and it will be shown on your invoice. Also, if you are based in Spain, you will be charged 21% VAT.
