Rviz is not working

I have a good and stable internet connection. Since the past two days, when I open rviz by following the steps in the notebook, it opens but doesn’t respond to anything I do. I can’t open file or panel, nor can I add the displays. I am not able to do any of the exercises because of this. Please help me, so that I can proceed to complete the exercises.

This is the message I get in the webshell after I type rosrun rviz rviz -

Hi,

Could you state the unit and the coands that you use to reroduce the erorr, because just testing it worked here. Post some images also to better understand the issue:
