I’m wanting to build a Robot Mobile base from scratch , and do navigating and localization,
Can you recommend me a course please? also I need to know what motors, motor drivers and hardware to use to build,
Well, that depends on the type of Navigation you would like to perform. As per laser-based navigation, we don’t have any course that covers how to build a robot from scratch in order to perform this type of navigation. We do have, however, a complete course (based on Gazebo simulations) which teaches how Navigation (laser-based) works and how to set it up for different robots. This course will help you understand how Navigation works and how you could set it up for you real robot. You can have a look at it here: https://www.robotigniteacademy.com/en/course/ros-navigation-in-5-days/details/
On the other hand, we have a couple of courses on building a mobile robot from scratch. For instance, you can have a look at this one (https://www.robotigniteacademy.com/en/course/using-nvidia-jetson-nano-with-ros/details/), which is based on the Jetson Nano board. However, this robot doesn’t include a laser, so the navigation it does is based on visual inputs (a camera).
Thanks for your reply, the nano with ROS sounds great for building a robot mobile base from scratch,
but when I clicked on the https://www.theconstructsim.com/ignisbot-ros-ai-robot/ to get the kit, it shows up a blank page,
see below screenshot,
I’ve already notified this issue to my colleagues. It should be solved for tomorrow (at the most). Sorry for the inconveniences.
Thanks, also what is the payload in kilograms can this robot mobile base (ignisBot) carry?
well it is still not resolved yet…,
