Not getting valid data in when adding two lidars on the same robot

Hello,

For one of my projects I am trying to work with two lidars on the same robot. I have added two hokuyu lidars. But scans of two lidars are getting mix with each other (maybe 30% of the time) and another 70% of the time I am getting correct scans. Is there any way to isolate the scans? Please help!

Hi, this is interesting! Why are you putting two lidars on your robot? Remember that if you want to actually build it, lidars can get pretty expensive. As for the scan mixing, check out this link that shows you how to merge data from multiple lidars:

Hello,

I want to use two lidars to estimate the shape of objects in front. I don’t want to fuse them. Please help!

Please try to add two hokuyu lidars in a simple robot, you will see the problem that I am talking about.
