Inf value in scan result

In my rosject test, I see some inf value in scan ranges reading.

1.05632

1.04134
1.00871
0.986252

This is a test area surrounded by wall which I believe is well within laser scanner maximum range. So those inf values are more like noise. But I see them during simulation test.

I wonder where do those inf values come from. Have anyone besides me ever seen them? Is there some issue in my code?

There is no issue with your code. I think that means you were too close, or that for some reason the value at that angle did not receive any data.
