How can I put marker on a map?

Unfortunately we don’t cover in the course how to put other marks in the map.
Although I am keeping this thread open and in the meantime we are preparing a simple demo about how it can be done.
I’ll update it sooner
Ok, so we have the example from 8 - Showing a map on a webpage, which can be adjusted to show also other shapes.
For instance you can try an arrow, like shown here:
