I get an error message when trying to save Rviz configurations. Its really annoying because its also really slow, so adding the robot model and specifying the fixed frame is really painful.
Hi @spork.pb ,
Welcome to this Community!
Please note that you cannot save as
default.rviz in the rviz’s defualt home directory.
This directory is a Linux install directory and it does not give you write permisssions.
Please save your rviz config file in your own package inside a folder called
Also, please do not change permissions and try to overwrite the
default.rviz in the rviz installation folder:
- You will not be able to use that config since that will get replaced in the upcoming saves.
- You really do not want to mess with Linux install folders unless you are really sure of what you are doing!
