I’m getting the warning ‘no map received’ when adding a
costmap display to RVIZ for the topic
I don’t know what I’m missing.

Is the costmap being generated? Can you see the data doing a ros2 topic echo to that topic? In case it’s not being published, then it’s very likely that you have something wrong in the costmap configuration. Are you getting any error messages in the Shell output?
I don’t know what I did wrong. It works know!
