I can recommend these books:

  • A Gentle Introduction to ROS
  • Robot Operating System (ROS) for Absolute Beginners: Robotics Programming Made Easy
  • Learning ROS for Robotics Programming

But I think the best way to learn ROS is by taking practical courses like courses provided here in the www.theconstructsim.com.
